An industrial megaproject, Sino Iron is already the largest magnetite mining, processing and export operation in Australia, shipping a premium concentrate product to overseas steel mills. Dedicated infrastructure includes the concentrator area, port facilities, a combined-cycle gas-fired power station, desalination plant and 30km slurry pipeline. CITIC Pacific Mining is currently looking for an experienced Technical Trainer for a site based role at our Cape Preston operations, on a 2/1 Roster with the occasional Split Shifts, FIFO from Perth. This role will be offered on a 12 month maximum term contract. This is a great opportunity to join our established Training team and be an integral part of the Sino Iron megaproject!
The Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Area Training Supervisor, this role is responsible for performing onsite training to CPM employees & contractors in accordance with company and legislative standards. You will be responsible for co-ordination of training events as required including shutdowns, mining operations, drill & blast, assist with the management of training systems and VOC on a range of mobile equipment including Electric Drive Haul Trucks, Dozers and Graders.
To be successful in this role you will be required to have Certificate IV TAE or equivalent. The successful candidate should also possess good computer skills on Microsoft Office suites.
- A current WA HR drivers licence is essential
- 3-5 years training experience with electric drive haul trucks, graders and dozers
- Be Flexible with your environment and duties
- Possess Strong coordination skills
