CITIC Pacific Mining is currently looking for a Network Administrator - Operational Technology to join the Information Services team for a 12 months contract. This position is Perth-based, but will include regular travel to our mine site at Cape Preston.
The Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager this role will provide IS network administration operational support for management of industrial Ethernet networks to ensure they run efficiently. The role will be accountable for support for all industrial Ethernet connected within CITIC Pacific Mining Operational Technology (OT). It will cover administration of Process Control, Process CCTV, HV IEC61850 and Fire (Simplex) network services. This will include configuring, administrating, monitoring and troubleshooting all industrial Ethernet layer 2/3 switches. The role is custodian of all network documentation, operational procedures to add/move or change devices and management of the physical networking infrastructure. It will also contribute to developing and improving the network services to ensure compliance, network availability and performance operational agreements. The role will liaise with Operations team to provide solutions or escalate network related issues and may also plan, co-ordinate and implement security measures to safeguard the network.
We are looking for a candidate with strong network administration experience and a degree in IT / IS with an understanding of operational requirements. Additional skills for the role include but are not limited to:
- Hirschmann layer 2/3 ethernet switches and network management with industrial HiVision
- Multi-vendor integration (Cisco,Microsoft, Hirschmann)
- Cisco switching and routing
- Routing protocol OSPF
- ISA95 standards
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A collaborative approach to problem solving, solution delivery and team work
- Be able to think abstractly and provide guidance/input into the business
- The ability to provide technical analysis, development and administration of innovative solutions to meet customer specific requirements.
