CITIC Pacific Mining requires an experienced Injury Management Coordinator to work at our Cape Preston Operation. This position is offered on a permanent basis on a 9/5 roster, FIFO from Perth. If you have a background in Injury Management and Workers Compensation and want to be a part of the Sino Iron project then this is the job for you.
The Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent - Health and Injury Management, this position is responsible for managing work and non-work related injuries and illnesses, applying effective early intervention strategies to all cases to achieve the best possible outcomes. The role will also involve working closely with the Health and Safety team on Health and Wellbeing projects.
We seek applicants with experience in an Injury Management or related role. You will be required to provide efficient and effective injury management services, accurate and timely advice on injury management and workers compensation issues to the business. Strong communication skills are essential as you will liaise with a large number of key stakeholders which include; doctors, other medical professionals, Contractors, Workers' Compensation Insurers, Human Resources and the Health and Safety Team. An Allied Health or related tertiary qualification is highly desirable for this role together with an understanding of the Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981.
Candidates with experience in a similar role from within the resources sector will be looked upon favourably. The successful candidate will be adaptable and have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
- A current Manual WA drivers licence is essential.
