The Opportunity

CITIC Pacific Mining requires an experienced Light Equipment Fitter for our Cape Preston Operations. This permanent position is offered on a 2/1 roster ( 7 days, 7 nights, 7 off), FIFO from Perth.

Reporting to the Leading Hand – Light Equipment, this role will assist with the maintenance and repair of light vehicles, Gen Sets, Pumps and other ancillary light equipment.  Daily tasks will include the servicing, repair and overhaul of mechanical parts such as engines, transmissions, (clutch, gearbox and differential) and suspension systems (springs, steering, brakes, wheels & tyres).

We would like applications from individuals with at least 5 years proven experience as an LV Fitter, preferably with 4x4 experience within a mining or large scale workshop environment. You will have experience using computer diagnostic tools to diagnose fault codes and use workshop equipment (hoists, jacks, & power/hand tools) on a daily basis.

Essential:

  • Current WA drivers licence;
  • Cert III Automotive Mechanical Technology (Heavy Vehicle Road Transport)

Desirable:

  • HR licence;
  • Forklift ticket, EWP ticket;
  • Automotive air conditioning licence;
  • Working Safely at Heights ticket;
  • Senior First Aid certificate;
  • Cert IV Frontline Management.
