The Opportunity
We’re looking for a driven and highly motivated mining supervisor to join our production team at our Sino Iron Project, Cape Preston.

As one of our supervisors, you’ll play a crucial role in leading and managing all aspects of your crew, fostering a culture of leadership, development, and team cohesion. You’ll have a passion for leadership, fostering a positive work culture while promoting a collaborative and supportive environment to enhance productivity and morale of the crew.

This is a permanent full-time position offered on a 2/1 continuous shift roster (days and nights), FIFO from Perth.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
• Managing all aspects of the workforce including safety systems, absenteeism and leave, and training.
• Completing incident reporting and investigations.
• Coaching and develop team members.
• Ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures.
• Liaising directly with internal stakeholders.
• Inspections and compliance to statutory regulations.
• Identifying and executing opportunities for improvements to systems and process.
• Liaising directly with internal stakeholders, you will oversee and promote an excellent culture within the mining crew.

About You
As the successful candidate, you’ll have:
• Extensive background in a similar supervisor role within a load & haul environment.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with effective people management skills.
• Sound knowledge of large-scale open pit mining and best mining practice.
• Working knowledge of mining regulations.
• Current manual drivers’ licence essential.
• Senior First Aid essential.
• Unrestricted WA Quarry Managers Certificate highly desirable.
• Diploma in Surface Operation Management highly desirable.
• Statutory Supervisor ticket highly desirable.
