The Opportunity

CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking experienced Rigger to join our Site Support Services team on a permanent 2/1 continuous shift roster (nights & days), FIFO ex Perth.

Reporting to the Supervisor - Cranes, this role is responsible for assembling & installing rigging gear to assist in safe & successful movement of loads on site.

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

• Safe and successful lifting operations
• Determine the type of lifting equipment required for a particular task and work closely with riggers and maintenance crews to ensure the lift is carried out in a safe and time efficient manner.
• Maintaining rigging equipment to a safe standard outlined in the Australian standards, including quarterly inspection and tagging.
• Attaching rigging equipment to the load utilising safe work practices.  Working with the Crane Operator to ensure crane lifts are conducted safely and efficiently.
• Calculate the mass and centre of gravity of loads utilising correct formulas.

Successful applicant will have:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mining/resources sector
• Intermediate Riggers Ticket
• Experience controlling Dual Crane lifting operations.
• Heavy Lift rigging experience loads in excess of 20t.
• EWP, Confined Space, Forklift and Working at heights tickets.
• High level of commitment to safety and safe work practice.
• Able to work safely at heights and within confined spaces.
• Current WA HR Drivers Licence
