The Opportunity

Cape Preston Port Company (CPPC) is seeking experienced Fitter to join our Port Maintenance team on a permanent 2/1 continuous shift roster (nights & days), FIFO ex Perth.

Reporting to the Supervisor – Port Maintenance, this role is responsible for safely, effectively, and productively undertaking servicing, repair and maintenance of all Electrical equipment on board the Magdragon 2 Transhipper Vessel.

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

  • Fault finding, maintenance and repairs on the vessel.
  • Monitor the Operation of the plant via Citect / SCADA
  • Respond in a timely manner to all Operational stoppages and delays.

Successful applicant will have:

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • A current Drivers Licence
  • Hold or have the ability to obtain MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
  • High Risk Work Licence – DG, EWP
  • Working at Heights & Confined Space Entry
  • Experience with LV electrical distribution systems
  • Experience with fault finding on basic control systems and PLC’s
  • Experience and competency with HV switching activities
  • Competent user of computerised maintenance management system (SAP)
  • Familiarity with Citect SCADA
