The Opportunity
We’re seeking a driven Environmental Advisor to join our site-based Enviro team located at our Sino Iron operation, Cape Preston. This permanent position is offered on a lifestyle friendly 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth.
Working in this close-knit team you’ll provide support to operations in developing, implementing and advancement of environmental management processes and systems. While also providing advice, implementing and monitoring all environmental requirements and obligations to ensure compliance with all approvals and legislative requirements. You will have exposure to all CPM business units and stakeholders to provide seamless service and guidance.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Provision of advice and support to address environmental issues and to facilitate compliance with environmental approvals, obligations, environmental licences and tenement conditions.
- Implementation and operation of environmental monitoring programs.
- Assist in the implementation of the operational environmental management system.
- Support corporate level liaison with government regulators on permitting, licensing & compliance issues.
- Conduct annual reporting in accordance with relevant licenses and approvals.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in environmental management, environmental science, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience working on environment projects within the mining or resources sector.
- Experience with environmental monitoring and data management.
- Environmental auditor qualification will be highly regarded.
- Ability to obtain Maritime Security Identification Card.
