The Opportunity

CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking experienced Leading Hand-Field to join our HME team on a permanent 2/1 continuous shift roster (days & nights), FIFO ex Perth.

Reporting to the Supervisor – Truck & Ancillary, this role is responsible for safely, effectively, and productively operating primary heavy mobile equipment to meet mine production targets as set out.

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

• Providing instruction, assistance and direction to all service persons, apprentices and trainees in the performance of their duties.
• Demonstrating the use of all CPM Mining maintenance systems and documentation.
• Workshop tooling used by the service persons advising the workshop supervisor of any workshop tooling that is unsafe.
• Participating in safety incident reports and investigations where required.
• Ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
• Completing hazard report forms for any hazards identified.
• Actively promoting safe work practices.
• Adhering to the Safety Management Plan
• Actively promoting environmentally responsible work practices.

Successful applicant will have:

• A current Manual Drivers Licence is essential.
• Trade Qualified with extensive mining experience
• Employment in a relevant or similar field to position offered.
• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
• Developed team development and leadership skills.
• Developed public relations and interpersonal skills.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to train and transfer knowledge to others.
• Work Safe qualified EWP, LF, CN and Safe working at heights (desirable)
• Experience on Electric drive trucks and Letourneau wheel  loaders (desirable)
• Maintenance systems SAP experience (desirable)
• Cat System experience ADECC, DEDECC (desirable)
