The Opportunity

Cape Preston Port Company (CPPC) is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our Port Maintenance team on a permanent 2/1 continuous shift roster (nights & days), FIFO ex Perth.

Reporting to the Port Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for the servicing, repair & maintenance of electrical plant & equipment such as the Reclaimer, Stackers, Bargeloader and Marine assets. This position also requires you to be competent in HV Switching.

Successful applicant will have:

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • A current Drivers Licence
  • Hold or have the ability to obtain MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
  • High Risk Work Licence – LF, EWP
  • Experience in control logic systems for electrical preferably ABB.
  • Exposure to Siemens harmony drives.
  • Experience with HV switching and switching programs with a current qualification
  • Understanding of SAP
