The Opportunity
Cape Preston Port Company (CPPC) is seeking experienced Fitter to join our Port Maintenance team on a permanent 2/1 continuous shift roster (nights & days), FIFO ex Perth.
Reporting to the Supervisor – Port Maintenance, this role is responsible for safely, effectively, and productively undertaking servicing, repair and maintenance of all Electrical equipment on board the Magdragon 2 Transhipper Vessel.
In this role you’ll be responsible for:
- Fault finding, maintenance and repairs on the vessel.
- Monitor the Operation of the plant via Citect / SCADA
- Respond in a timely manner to all Operational stoppages and delays.
Successful applicant will have:
- Electrical Trade Qualification
- A current Drivers Licence
- Hold or have the ability to obtain MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
- High Risk Work Licence – DG, EWP
- Working at Heights & Confined Space Entry
- Experience with LV electrical distribution systems
- Experience with fault finding on basic control systems and PLC’s
- Experience and competency with HV switching activities
- Competent user of computerised maintenance management system (SAP)
- Familiarity with Citect SCADA
