The Opportunity

We’re seeking a driven Maintenance Supervisor to support our Port Operations team. This is a pivotal role with excellent career opportunities, and is offered as a site based role on a FIFO roster (2/1) from Perth.

Reporting to the Superintendent – Port Operations, in this role you’ll be responsible for leadership of one of the multidiscipline teams of maintenance personnel, executing the safe and effective maintenance of the Land-based assets (Conveyors, Stackers, Reclaimer, Bargeloader, and all associated services and infrastructure); and assistance as required with the maintenance activities on the Transhipper, Tugs and other Marine assets.  This includes ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements, and improvement of asset operational performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability, through the application of effective methods and strategies.

 

We are seeking applicants with a bulk handling & marine industry background – you will have significant experience in the vessel operations requirements including their Safety Management Systems. Complimented with knowledge of land based fixed plant equipment, such as ThyssenKrupp reclaimers/stackers, conveyors & ship loading systems. Advanced people & time management skills as well as workforce planning skills are essential.

Successful applicant will have:

  • A Trade or Engineering qualification
  • Cert IV Front Line Management
  • SAP experience
  • A current WA Drivers Licence
  • Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
