Cape Preston Port Company (CPPC) is seeking an experienced Engineer – Reliability & Improvement to join our Port Maintenance team on a permanent 8/6 roster, FIFO ex Perth.

Reporting to the Superintendent – Planning & Reliability, this role requires experience with fixed plant knowledge to improve asset reliability and costs and develop and maintain reliability processes and procedures. You will possess specific knowledge of defect elimination and Root Cause Analysis, maintenance strategy development, whole of life modelling, reporting and data analysis and exposure to Project managing improvement projects.

Successful applicants will have:

Minimum 3 years related experience with equipment such as stackers, conveyors, reclaimers, barge loaders etc. You will have excellent communication skills, be a forward thinker as well as planning and leadership abilities. Great computer skills are required for the role with knowledge in SAP and Microsoft office programs.

  • Mechanical Engineering qualification
  • Knowledge of Reliability Engineering practices including
    • Pareto Analysis
    • RCA or similar root-cause methodologies
    • Condition monitoring techniques and their application
  • A current Drivers Licence
  • S26 Statutory Supervisors Competency or ability to obtain
  • Hold or have the ability to obtain MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
