The opportunity
In this role, you will manage the Load Maintenance crew, ensuring all Load equipment is maintained safely and efficiently. You will also support the HME Superintendent in achieving safety and fleet performance targets.
You will be responsible for:
- Safety performance, as measured by safety incidents and leading indicators such as inspections and SWOs
- Maintaining legible, accurate and complete service records and documentation relating to parts, work in progress, backlog and maintenance history
- Demonstrate personal compliance, and ensure all team members comply with CPM's safety, quality, environmental and Fitness for Work policies and procedures
- Initiate actions to prevent machinery and equipment non-conformance, identifying and documenting quality issues as they arise.
- Recommend and implement corrective actions through designated channels, verifying the effectiveness of solutions and ensuring non-conforming equipment is appropriately controlled until rectified. Identify and report any occupational health, safety, environmental or quality issues
- Monitor and control maintenance job durations to optimise equipment availability and minimise downtime.
- Environmental and Aboriginal Heritage, compliance to plans and procedures.
Safety:
- Ensuring all activities undertaken by employees and subcontractors are carried out in accordance with CPM’s policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with the Western Australian Work Health and Safety (Mines) legislation and all applicable regulations, demonstrating duty of care at all times
- Complete hazard report forms for any hazards identified
- Actively promote safe work practices
- Adhere to the Safety Management Plan.
Environment & Community:
- Actively promote environmentally responsible work practices
- Adhere to the Cultural Heritage Procedure
- Ensure all activities and those of employees and sub-contractors are carried out in accordance with the CPM Environmental Management Plan.
To be successful in the role you must have the following qualifications:
Mandatory:
- Heavy Duty Trade Certificate
- Senior First Aid certificate
- Western Australia class HM motor vehicle licence or equivalent
- Demonstrated supervisory skills
- Strong communication skills
- Computing skills
- Section 26 – Statutory Supervisor
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- WA Driver’s licence
Desirable:
- Fork lift operators’ certificate
- Overhead crane certificate
- Business Management
To be successful in the role you will have A minimum of two years' experience in a relevant or similar maintenance supervisory role. We’re looking for motivated team players, with good communication skills and a can-do attitude.
