CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking a Sustainability Advisor for 6 months to join the team in Perth, to support our diverse operations from pit to port focusing on Sustainability Reporting.
In this role, you will support the business in achieving sustainable outcomes. Reporting to the Manager – Climate Change & Sustainability, you will advance our sustainability reporting (AASB S2) by collating and analysing data, report on key emission metrics and participate in climate risk assessments. You will work with the Sustainability team to support the audit process and provide administrative support to the broader team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare emission data-based reports for internal metric reporting and analysis
- Co-ordinate projects and participate in climate risk and opportunity workshops
- Develop and review documentation to support sustainability reporting and audits
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants and auditors
- Provide support to team with business administration tasks
- Keep abreast of emerging issues for sustainability reporting
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in sustainability, environmental management, engineering, accounting, science or climate change within the mining or resources sector
- Demonstrated knowledge of climate-related reporting standards and sustainability frameworks, including AASB S2, TCFD, and the Paris Agreement
- Experience supporting sustainability reporting and/or sustainability-related assessments
- Sound understanding of emissions legislation and sustainability regulatory frameworks.
- Knowledge of carbon emissions reduction strategies, corporate climate change management and sustainability principles
- Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
