CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking Drill Support personnel to join our Mining team at Cape Preston. This is a permanent 2/1 FIFO opportunity from Perth, supporting safe and efficient drilling operations within our Sino Iron pit.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Drill & Blast operations, develop your knowledge of drilling techniques and work alongside experienced drillers. The Drill Support role provides a pathway to develop your skills and progress towards becoming a fully qualified Driller.

What you’ll be doing:

• Support drillers by ensuring drills have water when required to maintain safe and efficient production.
• Deliver drilling consumables, supplies and equipment to drill sites as required.
• Assist drillers with changing drill consumables.
• Ensure drills are stocked with spare consumables, including drill bits.
• Maintain the bit shed in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
• Work alongside experienced drillers to build your knowledge and skills in drilling techniques and operations.
• Follow all safety procedures, report hazards and contribute to a safe working environment.

What we’re looking for:

• A strong commitment to working safely and following site procedures.
• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of drilling operations and techniques.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support experienced drillers.
• Good time management and communication skills.
• Ability to undertake manual handling tasks.
• Current High Risk Work Licence (forklift).
• Current Dangerous Goods Security Card
• Current WA Manual Driver’s Licence
