The Opportunity

CITIC Pacific Mining seeks an experienced Materials Planner to join our HME team on a permanent 8/6 roster FIFO ex Perth.

This role reports to the Planning Supervisor and is responsible for providing Mining spare parts support, including procurement expeditions, material-to-site processing, and coordination with the vendor, warehouse, and staging team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Coordinating with spare part, warehouse, and procurement teams on behalf of HME.
• Spare parts quantity shortfall investigation, track the proceeding and close, make improvement approach to avoid happening again
• Assisting in maintaining the critical spare parts Min/Max and lead time in SAP, monitoring stock consumption ages, reduce overstock purchasing.
• Providing the planning team with feedback in the event of delays with the availability of parts and components required for planned maintenance activities
• Providing maintenance schedulers with information regarding parts and components for future work to ensure work is only committed upon receipt of the required items onsite.

The successful applicant will have:

• Well-developed technical expertise and skills in both maintenance and production environment
• Relevant technical or trade background
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in purchasing in mining 
• Intermediate to Advanced SAP Experience
• A current WA Manual Drivers Licence is essential.
