We’re seeking a driven Financial Analyst to support our Finance team on a full-time permanent basis, working in our Perth CBD office on St Georges Terrace.

This role is responsible for providing professional support to a variety of operational functions for the company, including monthly management reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, database maintenance and automation development.

In this role you’ll oversee:

• Preparation of budget and forecast for various departments on a quarterly basis.
• End of Month activities such as accruals, cost transfers and manual cost adjustments.
• Coordination, development and production of monthly management reports.
• Monitoring spending trend against forecast, KPI reporting and variance tracking.
• Data collection and analysis from existing systems to support cost saving initiatives.
• Ad hoc budget and cost control related services to stakeholders.
• Developing reports using database.
• Establishing data analytical models, identifying gaps and solutions.
• Perform daily bank reconciliation.

As the successful applicant you will have:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Management Accounting role.
• Tertiary education in Accounting/ Finance.
• Achievement of professional qualifications such as CPA/ CA highly regarded.
• Exposure to Mining and Resources sector highly regarded.
• Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications.
• Critical thinking and strong analytical skills to obtain desired results and proposing innovative solutions in a practical manner.
