CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking an experienced Logistics Lead to join our Commercial Services team in Perth. This is a permanent opportunity responsible for leading the end-to-end management of international freight and logistics services supporting the Sino Iron operation and project, with travel to Cape Preston approximately once per month to support major vessel and project cargo arrivals.

This role offers the opportunity to oversee complex global supply chain movements, including break bulk, heavy lift and project cargo shipments into Australia, while managing our key logistics service providers and driving cost-effective, compliant logistics outcomes for one of Australia's largest magnetite mining operations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and manage inbound and outbound international freight movements across ocean, air and land transport modes
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant delivery of goods
  • Manage logistics service providers and contracts, ensuring performance against service levels, KPIs and contractual obligations
  • Oversee customs, biosecurity, dangerous goods and import/export compliance requirements
  • Provide logistics planning and cost estimation support for major project works, including heavy lift and oversized cargo movements
  • Maintain and govern CPM's International Logistics Tracking System and logistics documentation processes
  • Monitor logistics expenditure, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and identify cost optimisation opportunities
  • Lead, mentor and support the Logistics Coordinator while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the logistics function.

What we're looking for:

  • 7–10 years' experience in international logistics management across ocean, air and land freight
  • Demonstrated experience managing break bulk shipments into Australia from East Asia, ideally within the mining or resources sector
  • Strong knowledge of Australian port operations, including Port Dampier and Port Hedland
  • Experience with project logistics, heavy lift and oversized cargo transportation
  • Sound understanding of Australian customs, biosecurity and quarantine requirements
  • Experience managing logistics providers, freight contracts and supplier performance
  • Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills
  • Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Commerce or a related discipline
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin is essential
  • National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence and eligibility to obtain or hold an MSIC.
