We are looking for a proactive Mine Project Planner to join our Mine Production Coordination team at Sino Iron. In this role, you'll coordinate mining projects that support the safe and efficient delivery of production activities across one of Australia's largest magnetite operations.
Working closely with Mining Engineering, Civil TSF and operational leaders, you'll develop project plans, coordinate activities and help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and aligned with long term mine plans.
This is a permanent full-time position offered on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing weekly mining project plans aligned with weekly and monthly mine plans.
- Designing and preparing work instructions for operational teams.
- Coordinating and distributing project documentation to relevant stakeholders.
- Communicating project timelines, milestones and deliverables across the business.
- Planning, coordinating and managing Ground Disturbance Permits.
- Maintaining and managing the MineStar project database.
- Developing crushing and screening plans to support mining activities.
- Attending planning and operational meetings while contributing to long term mining strategies.
- Identifying and communicating potential risks that may impact project delivery or the mining schedule.
- Developing and maintaining planning processes that support safe, efficient and timely project execution.
About You
- A minimum of two years' experience in a mining or civil environment.
- Practical knowledge of large-scale open pit mining operations.
- Experience using Vulcan or similar mine planning software.
- Strong planning, organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across multiple departments.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
- A qualification in Mining Engineering or Surveying will be highly regarded.
