The Opportunity
Cape Preston Port Company (CPPC) is seeking experienced Fitter to join our Port Maintenance team on a permanent 2/1 continuous shift roster (nights & days), FIFO ex Perth.
Reporting to the Supervisor – Port Maintenance, this role is responsible for safely, effectively, and productively undertaking servicing, repair and maintenance of all mechanical and rotating plant and equipment on board the Magdragon 2 Transhipper Vessel.
In this role you’ll be responsible for:
- Maintenance activities to ensure longevity of the cargo loading equipment on board the vessel (conveyors and shuttle drive systems)
- Maintenance activities to ensure the longevity of the vessels marine plant systems (Sewage treatment plant, reverse osmosis plant, various motors and pumps)
Successful applicant will have:
- Engineer Trade Qualification – Fitter
/Marine Engineer
- A current Drivers Licence
- Hold or have the ability to obtain MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card)
- High Risk Work Licence – DG, EWP
- Working at Heights & Confined Space Entry
- Experience with automated lubrication distribution systems
- Experience with fault finding and repairs to complex hydraulic systems
- Understanding of SAP
